Our consoles are sourced in the same fashion as all the other Origins pieces- by working closely with artisans to carefully identify ways to maximize our use of an unearthed root or fallen tree. Together we hand select and consider the most beautiful and stable places to cut the wood to create consoles that bring two unique finished sides and remarkable conversation pieces to our customers. No two pieces are ever the same, and we love that nature gives you two styles in one piece.
Available Wood Species
We offer a variety of wood species and finishes for our furnishings. Please take a look at the available options below.
Teak Root Consoles
Teak is a wonderful hardwood we love to work with. In keeping true to our core beliefs, we only unearth roots and cut them down thoughtfully, to ensure we are bringing you the best, most interesting pieces possible. Various finishes and styles are available.
Grey Stone Consoles
Our grey stone finish can be applied to several wood species. For our consoles in this finish, we either select cuts that are show-stopping cross sections of root systems, or chunkier cuts from the trunk of the tree. Each one one-of-a-kind!
Chamcha Wood Consoles
Why change what Nature already made perfect? Sometimes the most beautiful pieces we source need little enhancements other than a smooth sanding and nice polish. These golden acacia consoles are our best sellers for a reason! The noticeable blonde sap line and beautiful grains are on full display, and we only take credit for deciding where to make the cuts in the root systems and tree trunks. Truly functional pieces of art!
Lychee Wood Consoles
The intricate root system of the Lychee tree is a no-brainer for a console. Mesmerizing and functional, no two pieces are alike. The deep color of the wood stands out from most other species too. We just love when furniture doubles as art!
Iron Frame Consoles
Sometimes we find a piece so extraordinary but want it to be as functional as possible as a console. Our solution: add a frame! Fully usable surfaces encased in a black iron frame, with a focus on the contrasting materials of wood and metal. The focus still remains on the wood itself, ensuring your piece will be one-of-a-kind!
Tamarind Wood Consoles
Tamarind wood has such a beautiful yellow color with fine, yet visible grains. Another great modern organic piece that doubles as art.
